I do stuff. With data.
I’m a social scientist, statistician, data scientist and entrepreneur. I love complex problems and making new experiences.
I followed my interest in human behavior by studying Psychology, where I learned to design rigorous experiments and fell in love with statistics and the scientific method. Afterwards I decided to learn more about modern machine learning and its connection to the human mind through a MSc in Cognitive Systems. I started working as a Statistical Consultant in 2019 and have since done original research, collaborated with startups, university research teams, nonprofits and more!
I’m passionate about using science and technology to bring about positive change, which is why I’m happy to collaborate with the Department of Hepatology, University Clinic for Visceral Surgery and Medicine, at the Inselspital University-Hospital Bern in Switzerland as well as Invenion, a startup involved in market access of pharmaceutical products under AMNOG.

YOU need to make important decisions, and you need to harness the power of cutting-edge methods to make the optimal choice. Maybe you already have a lot of data available, but you don’t know how to harness its power and how to separate the signal from the noise. Maybe you need to integrate information from various data sources. Or maybe you know you need to invest in data science, but don’t know where to start.
THE GOOD NEWS: I love to dive deep into the evidence and to dig out the most critical and robust insights. I provide statistical data science work, with the ability to go end-to-end in messy, real-world datasets. Data science work can be supplemented by assessing the available evidence on your questions and conduction a Critically Appraised Topic (CAT) of the scientific literature where appropriate.
Statistical Consulting
YOU need to plan a research study containing complex statistical methods, but don’t know where to start. You realize that sound scientific evidence requires deep statistical knowledge. Maybe you are dealing with a difficult sample size determination, complex censoring schemes, or you want to extract causal effects from observational data.
THE GOOD NEWS: I design statistical analysis plans, consult on the best methodology to use, conduct sample size estimation and statistical data analysis and can provide assistance in putting the results into writing. Rather than simply going through the motions I try to minimize biases and gain as much insight from the available data as possible. After consulting on dozens of research projects in hepatology, oncology, legal medicine, psychology, economics, business administration, marketing and psychology, I bring expertise in biostatistics, frequentist and bayesian methods that will elevate your research.
Thesis Coaching
YOU need to use quantitative or mixed-methods research in your thesis and you understand that success depends on getting it right from the beginning. You want to ask the right questions, gather the right data, choose the right methods and tools - but you need someone with experience to guide you through the process. Maybe you already conducted an experiment or collected answers to a questionnaire, but struggle to clean the data and analyze your hypotheses.
THE GOOD NEWS: I started out helping students planning and conduction the statistical part of their thesis. Almost 100 projects later, I still love the variety of ideas and topics that keeps me on my feet. If you have an interesting study you need help with, get in touch! No ghostwriting.
